Before a candidate spends hours tailoring and applying, HireKey compares their resume with the job description. It shows which requirements their experience supports, surfaces the evidence a recruiter can find, and separates gaps into critical, manageable, and minor. The result isn’t just another compatibility score. It gives the candidate a clearer next move: apply, make existing experience easier to see, or focus on a better-fitting opportunity.
When a candidate decides to move forward, the same role context follows them through the rest of the application. HireKey helps tailor the resume without inventing experience or overstating ownership, creates a role-specific cover letter, and prepares the candidate to discuss their own work in an interview. Candidates can practice responses with a voice coach and receive STAR-based feedback on what was specific, unclear, incomplete, or unsupported. The goal is to build confidence through preparation, not memorized answers or assistance during a live interview.
HireKey also keeps the search organized in one workspace. Candidates can research companies, track applications, manage interview stages and deadlines, save notes, and review patterns across their search. Instead of piecing together a resume tool, interview app, spreadsheet, and separate company research workflow, they can carry the same opportunity context from the first review through the final conversation.
The platform grew from 10 years of recruiting experience in technology, including work at Microsoft, Amazon, and Stripe. That experience revealed a recurring disconnect: candidates are often encouraged to optimize for keywords, while recruiters are trying to understand relevance, level, scope, ownership, and evidence. Clearer wording can make real experience easier to recognize, but it can’t turn missing experience into a qualification. HireKey is designed to make that distinction visible.
