xmcp - TypeScript MCP framework for AI
xmcp is an open-source TypeScript framework for building and shipping Model Context Protocol servers. Developers write TypeScript functions to connect AI applications to tools, data, and workflows.
It supports file-based tools, prompts, and resources, schema validation, hot reload, middleware, HTTP and stdio transports, and deployment adapters. Start a project with npx create-xmcp-app@latest, then follow the guides and examples at xmcp.dev.
The framework is free and licensed under MIT. Source code is available at https://github.com/basementstudio/xmcp. The official read-only documentation MCP server is also available at https://xmcp.dev/mcp for compatible AI clients.
