OctoCounts - Real SLOC counts for GitHub repos
OctoCounts shows the line counts GitHub hides. Paste any public GitHub repository URL and it downloads the source archive, runs tokei, and returns files, total lines, code lines, comments, blanks, and per-language totals without cloning. Every report is pinned to an exact commit and cached, so repeat views are instant.
Reports live on permanent pages exportable as text, JSON, or a shareable PNG card, embeddable in any README as a live SLOC badge, and comparable side by side for about 90 curated repo pairs. It also ships as a browser extension for Chrome, Edge, and Firefox, a CLI, a GitHub Action, an API, and an MCP server.
