The Best Free Design Resources for UI Designers in 2026
Curated by Musharof Chowdhury · Last reviewed · How we pick
Good design resources save you from rebuilding buttons, forms and device frames for every project. The best free ones are built by teams that use them in real products, and they follow proper component and auto-layout conventions.
This shortlist focuses on UI kits, official platform design kits, mockups and general graphics. For icons, illustrations and fonts, see our dedicated pages for each.

Frequently asked questions
Where can I find free UI kits?
+
Figma Community has the largest collection of free UI kits. Untitled UI has a high-quality free kit, and Google's Material 3 and Apple's Design Resources provide official kits for Android and iOS.
Can I use free UI kits in commercial projects?
+
Usually yes, but licences vary. Official kits from Google and Apple are meant for designing apps on their platforms. For Figma Community files, check the licence noted on each file before using it in client work.
Where can I make free device mockups?
+
Shots lets you place screenshots in device and browser frames for free. Freepik also has many free PSD mockup templates, which require attribution.
What should a good UI kit include?
+
Look for components built with variants and auto layout, a defined colour and type system, form elements with all their states, and documentation. A kit that is just flat screenshots of screens will slow you down.
